My journey to building a business centered on legacy began with a simple realization: small business owners pour their hearts into their ventures but often struggle with the marketing and operational systems needed to reach their full potential. Being a solopreneur myself I know first-hand what kind of heart, expertise and WORK go into building a business from the ground up. For years in the real estate and business management sector, I saw talented entrepreneurs with incredible products and services who couldn't effectively communicate their value to their ideal customers. So what did they do? They hired cheap ($99/month social media!) companies who didn't know their company, didn't know their story and didn't really care. Their strategy was throwing some marketing online and hoping something sticks. Come on, business owners, you deserve better than that. I wanted to create the better.
In March of 2020 that's exactly what I did. Armed with a background in sales, marketing management, real estate operations, website design, and business management, I recognized an opportunity to make a real difference. Starting Rhema Strategic wasn't just about launching another marketing agency—it was about creating a company that could serve as a bridge between hardworking business owners and the success they deserved.
The Meaning Behind Rhema.
I'm sure everyone remembers 2020 well. It was a time of much uncertainty and change. My husband and I had just moved to Grants Pass, Oregon to be closer to family after closing our coffee shop in Vancouver. Just a few months after arriving in southern Oregon, everything was shut down and I had lost my job as an Administrator of a local real estate office. That day I came home wondering what I would do.
Okay, are you ready for THE most important piece of advice for your business? Here goes. Pray. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. He cares about your business and success. He will show up.
Back to the story... I came home, talked to my husband and prayed. Rhema Strategic was the answer. Not only was it clear that I should start a marketing company, but I was given the name. "Rhema." Rhema is a Greek word and means "fresh revelation and insight from the Holy Spirit." As opposed to "logos" which means a written word, rhema is not just a right-now word from the Lord, but is a direct invitation to say "yes" to His guidance and plan. That name hit home. Company name: Check.
Not Just a Logo.
The Rhema Strategic logo tells a story that goes back generations. The "T Lazy H" brand you see represented in our logo isn't just a design choice—it was my family's registered cattle brand, owned by my grandfather, James Blasingame, in Merced County, California. This logo represents more than just family history; it embodies the values of hard work, integrity, and building something that lasts. My grandfather was one of the most impactful people in my life. He taught me to take risks, to adventure, to work hard, and to connect with people. It is an honor to carry his legacy through my business and my logo.
Start Your Legacy Today.
Every business owner has the opportunity to build something that matters. Your legacy isn't determined by the size of your company or the cash you have in your bank accounts—it's determined by the commitment you make to creating value that extends beyond your immediate circumstances.
At Rhema Strategic, we understand that helping our clients build their legacies is actually how we build our own. When we help a small business owner develop a marketing strategy that tells their story, highlights their personality, defines their brand and grows their revenue, we're not just delivering a service—we're participating in their legacy story.
